Due to the base being slate, the plaques vary in texture and thickness for a rustic look. This is a handmade item, so not every item will look identical, and may have some variation, which makes them all unique.

This slate is suitable for outdoor use, and would recommend giving it a maintenance varnish occasionally to keep protected from the elements.
